Nominations are now closed for available positions on the University’s Academic Council and Academic Council’s standing committees. Thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination and for your interest in the 2026 University Elections.

If there are any positions for election, this information will be posted in due course in readiness for the campaign period and subsequent voting period (if applicable).

How Do Elections Work?

Nomination period and how to submit a nomination.

Nominations are now closed.
Eligibility Check – The CEO verifies candidates.
The CEO is responsible for determining that all criteria for eligibility for both nominees and nominators has been met. Nominees will receive notification of their eligibility status.
Campaign Period – Candidates engage the community using approved methods.
Campaigning may only occur during the Campaign Period. Candidates are responsible for ensuring that all aspects of their campaign comply with University's policies. For 2026 the Campaign Period is scheduled to run from March 16-25.
Voting Period – A 48-hour online vote determines the winners.
The Voting Period will be forty-eight (48) hours in duration. Eligible voters are entitled to vote once for each position within their respective constituency. For 2026 the Voting Period is scheduled to run from March 25 at 9 a.m. to March 27 at 9 a.m.
