Joe DeSario

Joe DeSario is President and Chief Executive Officer of International Financial Data Services (IFDS). The company supports the investment fund industry with technology and back-office services for data capture, transaction execution and fee processing. With more than 30 years experience in financial services and a background spanning operations, technology, risk, and mergers and acquisitions, Joe has led IFDS through strategic growth and operational transformation.

Previously, he has held executive roles at Reuters. He started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Joe strongly advocates for capitalizing on emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and automation, to improve efficiency, enhance decision-making and create scalable growth. Known for his people-first leadership, he builds high-performing teams, facilitates strong partnerships and champions innovation.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Fundserv, the Canadian investment industry’s connectivity hub. He has also previously served as board member of the Dovercourt Boys and Girls Club, and Development Cabinet member of the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario.

Joe holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from York University’s Schulich School of Business and a Chartered Professional Accountants designation. Outside of work, he enjoys family life with his wife, four children and dog. He also enjoys travel and Toronto-based sports teams.
