Ontario Tech is positioning itself as a leader in the integration of Artificial Intelligence into education and research, spending significant energy and resource. It is therefore vital that the board includes those with knowledge of AI, experience implementing AI in organizations, and an understanding of the concerns, risks, challenges, and opportunities this represents. As a CRC in Trustworthy AI with a background in supporting adoption of AI (>75 companies; >$7M value created), I offer to bring this to the board. As faculty representative, I will ensure the faculty perspective on AI in the classroom and in research is fully represented.
